The internet

The first time I encountered the internet, I was probably eight years old.

My father brought the whole family to an internet café in Dublin. We were each allowed to search for something. I proudly searched for the word "Juventus" and up shone the logo of my favourite football team, Juve.

I did not feel like the world was at my feet but I felt like something was different.

You must understand me. You simply must understand me. I am Fi, I am a very simple type of human being. I am spiritual. I believe my grandmother is looking at me. She is not controlling me but she is flashing things to me. She was a beautiful human being. She was generous, kind and understanding. Most of all understanding, she understood time, the concept of time and how to use it. I could sit with my grandmother for hours just the two of us trying to figure out how we existed. I held her hand when she was dying but left to go to school. When i returned she was dead. Nobody can bucket that kind of love or respect. The woman was a saint. She brought up 4 kids, 4 amazing people who I have such a love for. I carried her to her grave and the sun shone and it lashed rain. I looked up and knew she was there for me.
